My Lowriderbox finally arrived! It is certainly a beautifully designed, and well crafted tailbox. I can't wait to mount it and show it off on the roads and trails! My Speedmachine will look so much better with this tailbox than with the factory supplied metal pannier rack. With its volume, and lock, it is certainly more versatile, too! I would be so bold to say, that the lowriderbox 'finishes' the bike. Without it, it is just a tube, a seat and some wheels. The tailbox completes the styling like nothing else can! I must also make mention of the gelcoat. It has such an incredibly smooth and shiny surface. Wow!
The shipping box arrived with a few holes in it, and I was a little worried, but when I finally opened it and unwrapped all the parts, all I found was one small spider crack on the top lid. It was probably caused from something that was dropped on the box during its long journey. For all the distance it traveled, I would say that is very minor and acceptable. I am certainly not worried about it.
Uli, I want to thank you for all your help, guidance, and generosity. Dealing with you was a pleasure, and you made this internet based purchase very easy for me. I will enjoy passing on your company's name and website information to anyone I meet, who may be interested in acquiring a tailbox for their recumbent.
